The “ACG-HIE” software is based on the advanced and widely used Johns Hopkins ACG(R) System risk adjustment methodology that has been in use for over two decades. The ACG System is currently employed to help finance and manage the care of millions of individuals in public and private health plans and agencies across the US (including 16 Medicaid agencies) and by the governments and private delivery systems in over a dozen countries. The ACG-HIE version will build on the experience of the ACG-Medicaid version, and is available subject to the following terms and conditions:
- License will allow for limited use for purposes of rate setting (or validation) within State Health Insurance Exchange programs;
- Not include provisions for support;
- Ensure that the Johns Hopkins University is properly indemnified as allowed by state law.
It is recommended that consultants knowledgeable in the use and application of the ACG System be implemented to assist with the proper software implementation.
